Matte nails

I've been obsessed with matte nails for the last few days because I finally found a matte top coat. You can put it on top of your favourite colour and it changes it to matte in a few seconds. I was looking for matte nail polish but couldn't find any, but I think this is much much better because you can use it on any colour that you want to..

Wine show

We went to a wine show this weekend and I was inspired by my stripy manicure so I thought I'd put some insulation tape on my shirt to see what it would look like with a painted stripe. The tape looked fine so I just used it like that! Perfect makeover for a one-evening outfit and I still have my original white T-shirt..

DIY Hardware necklace

Music: Röyksopp - Happy Up Here

This is really easy to make with a few bits you can buy from a hardware shop. I decided to make it in white because the world is crazy about white accessories at the moment. You will need:

• Black hose/tube
• Large metal nuts
• Spray paint (optional)
• Insulation tape
• Scissors

Method:
First spray paint the nuts (may take a few coats) then measure the length of hose so that it fits over your head. Thread the nuts through the hose & join the two ends with insulation tape wound tightly around it. Voila

Transparent salmon

For a change

I'm a big fan of red nails but for a change I painted them blue. They're both blue colours but one is really dark & almost black. I have to say that I feel quite good in this colour!!!

At last

Elephant Whispers

Yesterday I visited an Elephant sanctuary close to where I live. Kitso is the smaller bull (that I'm hugging). He's 12 years old and was kicked out of his herd by the other siblings, so sad! His best friend Kasper is a 26 year old bull and was raised on a game farm in Namibia but is originally from the Kruger Park. His previous owner tried to raise him as a pet but at over 4 tons he's a little too big and too naughty!

We had a quick lesson about Elephants and then took them for a walk, leading by holding their trunks. After that I went for a ride on Kitso with his trainer. It was really scary at first but fun after I started to relax.
